Caries prevention through slow-release fluoride devices.
Abstract
The study aims to recognize the efficacy of the different slow-release fluoride devices, especially the so-called "glass pearls" and to verify their efficacy in preventive treatments of lesions caused by caries. The aim is to be able to distinguish some device that benefits the different treatments. The research methodology was by randomized clinical trials using databases. With the help of the different trials reviewed, it was possible to conclude the great effectiveness of slow-release glass fluoride devices in patients with poor knowledge about carious lesions, becoming a preventive and effective long-term treatment.
