Abstract

The main objective of this research is to carry out an analysis of the different fluorescence devices used in caries detection treatments, in order to specify which is the most effective of all for the correct diagnosis of caries. This study was based on carrying out a bibliographic review, reviewing studies through comprehensive reading, in which 8 studies were included, showing significant results on the different caries detection methods, concluding that DIAGNOdent is safer, since the light that it emanates does not damage the ocular tissues of both the patient and the professional, as well as being more effective in diagnosing carious lesions in the early stage, as well as residual caries.
