Dental fluorosis and the causes that produce it.

Abstract

This review aims to determine the prevalence of fluorosis and the factors associated with it. It is one of the most common conditions in terms of the oral cavity, which is an affection to the quality of the enamel of the teeth during its formation, due to the excessive use of fluoride. The seriousness of fluorosis will depend on the concentration of fluoride that has been ingested, showing that the countries most affected by this disease are Ecuador, Colombia and Chile. The study was designed through the investigative method of bibliographic review, through the use of a database. It was possible to conclude through this review that the lack of interest in oral care is the main cause of dental fluorosis.
