Accreditation of undergraduate training in distance modality in Mexico: realities, reflections, and questions.
Abstract
The objective of the work is to discuss the relevance of distance education, as well as to reflect on the quality of education in educational modalities other than face-to-face education and the changes that need to be carried out to ensure its quality. It is concluded that there is a need to advance in the design of evaluation models for the accreditation of distance programs, in addition to establishing clear mechanisms to identify in the different official registers the modalities in which the programs are accredited and also to make the processes of accreditation more transparent. evaluation and results, as well as their dissemination.
