Abstract
Several authors agree on the need for exact science students to develop variational thinking that allows them to build mathematical models of all kinds of phenomena that involve some kind of dynamics. This research has the purpose of designing a didactic strategy to promote the development of variational thinking in students of the first semester of Computer Systems Engineering, and based on that, this article presents a research protocol that bases this research in the context of the Technological Institute of Chilpancingo, Guerrero, Mexico.
