Abstract

This research analyzed the Ecuadorian jurisprudential precedent No. 2064-14-EP/21, which guarantees the protection of personal data, image, the right to privacy and good name in social networks, since personal data can be wrongly linked to an individual. The objective is to analyze the changes that have developed the protection of personal data by the legal system of habeas data. The research methods used were documentary, interpretative, exegetical, descriptive, historical-logical method, the data collection technique was statistical data, survey and interview. It was concluded that habeas data appears with the purpose of protecting personal data in all aspects, and that it is not limited.
