Abstract

The work is the result of the analysis to the process of transformation of one of the domestic spaces of the house such as the kitchen. The objective was to evaluate this process to obtain a theoretical approach to its impact on the modes of living and lifestyle. The methodology is based on data collection and comparative analysis that allows the construction of a graphic timeline that demonstrates the changes made, looking for reasons why this phenomenon is generated, obtaining as a conclusion a list of factors that are not only related with the distribution and conceptualization of the architectural space but aspects in the social, economic and even political sphere intervene.
