Abstract

The main objective of the investigation is to demonstrate the reliability offered by the NGK BKR6E-11 spark plugs and the real mileage of operation in the city of Ambato, where its relief presents various levels. The study was applied to public service vehicles in the city of Ambato through exhaustive monitoring and tests at predefined travel intervals, with the main objective of quantifying the operation of the electrical resistance and the component inserted in the central electrode. It was concluded that the percentage of reliability to the warranty mileage is 5.64%, so it is recommended to replace them at 20,000 km to minimize the probability of failure.
