Abstract

This paper addresses the issue of pulmonary thromboembolism and the Nursing process. Venous thromboembolic disease is a pathology with high morbidity and mortality that occurs in a varied spectrum of patients; For this reason, the rationality of the diagnostic study of this disease should be standardized in an efficient manner, introducing specific nursing care for patients with said disease, and likewise, prioritizing the improvement of conditions for the care of patients with thromboembolism. Once the diagnosis is established, the risk of mortality must be managed, which is mainly provided by acute poor function of the right ventricle, which is highlighted in clinical, laboratory, tomographic and echocardiographic parameters.
