Mental health and academic performance in high school students in a post-pandemic environment.
Abstract
Education with zero or limited face-to-face was extended to two years, so it was preponderant to evaluate the indicators of mental health and their correlation to academic performance in students assigned to the Higher Secondary Education System. With a descriptive, cross-sectional and correlational scope research design, the psychometrics (ISO-30, KIDSCREEN-52, family APGAR, Impulsivity and Gaudibility Scale) were applied through non-probabilistic sampling. Upon return to the classroom, a prevalence of problems related to mental health was identified, such as suicide risk behaviors (24.4%), impulsive behaviors (43.6%), family dysfunction (29.5%), low quality of life related to health and enjoy the activities they carry out in a post-pandemic environment.
