Voices of victimization; a study with an adolescent population that emigrates to live and study within their university.
Abstract
It is a quantitative, cross-sectional research and its objective is to determine the types of victimization of new students. We worked with a sample of 536 adolescents of both sexes from the Agricultural High School of the Chapingo Autonomous University-UACh. The students emigrate and come to live within the university while obtaining a scholarship that allows them to support themselves and helps them to complete their studies. Among the results, it was observed that the type of victimization most experienced is verbal, followed by relational; the latter, suffered more by women than by men. Some strategies of attention and treatment of victimization in the university are proposed. KEY WORDS: school violence, bullying, victimization, types of victimization, adolescents.
