Comparative analysis between young people with deterioration and mental health and their relationship with individual, family, school and social variables.
Abstract
The objective of the study is to analyze the differences between university students with deterioration and mental health and the effect that these differences have on individual, family, school and social variables. The sample consisted of 306 young people between the ages of 18 and 36. The results indicate that young people with mental health excel in their means in satisfaction with life, family functionality, school adjustment and positive attitude towards authority. Young people with deteriorating health stand out in their averages in suicidal ideation and attitude towards the transgression of social norms. The regression analysis of the variables that predict health deterioration are suicidal ideation, satisfaction with life, school maladjustment and family functionality.
