Importance of intangible cultural heritage in the tourism development of the central coast of Peru.
Abstract
The objective of the study is to describe the importance of intangible cultural heritage in the tourism development of the central coast of Peru. The sample was 10 residents of San Luis de Cañete located on the central coast of Peru. The research is qualitative, descriptive with an ethnographic design; the applied instrument was the interview guide with data analysis by the Atlas Ti software. As a result, the intangible cultural heritage is the living culture of Afro-descendants by representing the history, identity, and tradition of this town of San Luis, Peruvian territory. Finally, this town has the cultural potential to generate sustainable tourism development.
