Background of University Social Responsibility: a challenge for Higher Education Institutions.

Abstract

The substantive functions of Higher Education Institutions cannot be left out of the Social Responsibility practices that they must carry out, in order to contribute to sustainable social development at a global level. This study aims to answer whether University Social Responsibility represents a challenge for Higher Education Institutions, based on the background that is available on the concepts of Social Responsibility, Corporate Social Responsibility and the theories that have studied these concepts.
