Abstract

Throughout the history of Physical Education, different epistemological currents have been developed, marked by various contextual factors. This has motivated this essay which aims to address the epistemological pluralism of Physical Education from the political philosophy of Hannah Arendt and Albert Camus. Both philosophical personalities made important contributions that serve as a basis for a society that respects human rights, democracy, and pluralism. In relation to these contributions, it is possible to visualize the importance of developing broad and diverse dialogues around Physical Education that allow the construction of a representative and complex disciplinary field in ideological terms, preventing dogmatism and univocality from eroding epistemic plurality.
