Abstract

The use of new technologies and social networks has represented a new space for the manifestation of phenomena such as intimate partner cyberviolence; therefore, the present investigation had the objective of analyzing the prevalence of this problem and its relationship with depression, anxiety and stress in Mexican university students. The main results highlighted control as the most frequent type of violence among the participants; likewise, it was appreciated that cyberviolence usually occurs in a bidirectional manner: on the other hand, the findings confirmed the relationship between intimate partner cyberviolence and depression, anxiety, and stress. The results are discussed in terms of their limitations and future lines of research.
