Abstract

The purpose was to describe the relationship between perceived stress and academic performance with suicidal risk in 68 students with COVID-19 from the morning and afternoon shifts. A cross-sectional, descriptive, and correlational design with convenience sampling was used. Data collection was supported by a personal data card, the Plutchik (1989) suicide risk scale, and the Sanz-Carrillo et al. (2002) perceived stress questionnaire. A predominance of women, singles, with an average age of 20.83, a positive and highly significant association was found between the variables with high and moderate suicidal risk (16.1%), high perceived stress (26.5%), and 6.8% low academic performance.
