Social representations in university nursing students about scientific research.
Abstract
Scientific research in nursing is essential to develop, evaluate and expand knowledge and allows responses to various needs in the health-disease process of the individual, family and community. A qualitative-processual study was carried out with 8 participants belonging to the nursing undergraduate program in Culiacán, Sinaloa, using the in-depth interview as a technique and a semi-structured question guide as a data collection instrument. Through the Theory of Social Representations and the constant comparison method, 6 theoretical categories were obtained. As conclusions, future nursing professionals view research as an important tool with an unfavorable attitude, classifying it as a source of stress and frustration, mainly in teaching-learning with subject transition.
