Metropolitan urban articulation for territorial governance.

Abstract

The metropolitan urban articulation and the territorial governance constitute mechanisms that allow addressing the disorderly growth of the population in the face of the lack of access to public services, housing and employment; phenomenon that has been occurring in the city of Cuzco, Peru. The objective of this article is to review the literature on the treatment of this problem. The methodology was taken from PRISMA for systematic reviews adapted by the author for analytical review purposes. It concludes with the need for a coordination instance and the metropolitan fund, which can improve the levels of urban articulation and territorial governance in Peru, where the experience in its analysis and treatment offer opportunities that should be taken advantage of.
