Consequences of the contamination of the Puyo river in the inhabitants.
Abstract
Considered as the balcony of the Ecuadorian Amazon, the city of Puyo is crossed by several rivers, of which the Puyo is the most important, since near it we find the Malecón Boayacu Puyu, being the largest tourist place in the city. On the banks of the Puyo River we find several communities settled. The basic needs of the residents of these communities mean that the river is the recipient of this community's waste, causing contamination of the waters of the Puyo River. The objective of this research is to identify the interaction of people and the environment with respect to pollution, through a participatory action research of a group of students.
