Analysis of the legal profession today: an ethical perspective from legal deontology.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to conduct a study on the practice of law today, to assess its status from an ethical and moral perspective. A mixed methodology was used that combined quantitative and qualitative elements, collecting statistical data related to the study through a structured questionnaire, in addition, interviews were conducted with a group of judges. The results obtained evidenced the need to incorporate ethical and moral values in the practice of Law, to avoid the influence of external factors in judicial decision-making. It was concluded that legal ethics is an aspect that cannot be overlooked, and that its compliance is essential to guarantee the credibility of the judicial system.
