The application of mediation as an alternative method in the solution of conflicts in criminal matters.
Abstract
The objective of this work is to be able to analyze the characteristics of alternative means to help solve conflicts and their application in criminal matters. To achieve this objective, it was necessary to carry out an in-depth study of the procedure that occurs in criminal matters, making a comparison between the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador and the Arbitration and Mediation Law. After the analysis carried out, it is concluded that mediation as an alternative method for conflict resolution is a non-adversarial way that is to seek and facilitate communication between the parties through the intervention of an impartial third party, which It will help put an end to the existing controversy.
