Abstract

Ecuador is a State of rights and justice that is governed by a guaranteed Constitution which ensures equal conditions for all citizens, including the right to resistance, which is protected by various instruments of national legislation and international treaties, without limitations for its exercise. In this context, an investigation was carried out that used a proactive critical approach, with an exploratory and descriptive design, analyzing the right to resistance in the social protests that occurred in the national territory in June 2022. This research highlights the need for formal regulations that clarify the scope and application of the right to resistance and protest in Ecuador.
