Determinants of the adequate use of universal precautions of the future nursing professional for personal protection.
Abstract
The research work is focused on the proper use of universal precautions by nursing staff for personal protection in students of the nursing degree, seventh semester of the Faculty of Nursing and Obstetrics of the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico, describing the principles of biosecurity. Personal and organizational determinants of this appropriate use were evaluated with a quantitative, descriptive, analytical approach. The predominant personal factors were being full-time students and the number of internships completed; the organizational determinants were having the necessary inputs for the application of universal measures and the feedback that is given before clinical practices.
