Nursing interventions in the critically ill patient with abdominal compartment syndrome.
Abstract
Abdominal Compartment Syndrome (ACS) occurs more frequently in critically ill patients in intensive care units, presenting varied manifestations that gradually lead to a decrease in regional abdominal vascular flow until it evolves into multiple organ failure, reflecting a high mortality rate, but identification and care of the manifestations by the nursing union leads to a decrease in mortality rates; for this reason, through the articulation of the nursing process, it was possible to identify and apply care interventions to a 49-year-old patient during his stay in the intensive care unit of a tertiary care hospital.
