Morbidity and mortality factors in cases of maternal death in the state of Sinaloa from 2021 to 2022.
Abstract
Maternal morbi-mortality results from the interaction of medical, social and organizational factors. The objective of the study was to describe the factors associated with maternal morbidity and mortality under a statistical review of cases of maternal deaths in the state of Sinaloa in the year 2021-2022, so an observational, descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional study was conducted with a non-probabilistic sampling of convenience type in 40 files, as a conclusion 79% were due to indirect causes, highlighting the age between 20-25 years, with the risk factor of immunization for COVID in the puerperium period in patients attended in public hospitals in the state of Sinaloa, which could be preventable in 87%, since they did not receive pre-gestational care.
