Analysis of the degree of compliance with the ethical code of nurses in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) environment.
Abstract
This study aimed to identify the level of understanding of the code of ethics by nursing professionals who work in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Luis Gabriel Dávila Hospital. The research was carried out using a mixed methodology, which combined the qualitative and quantitative approaches, with the purpose of carrying out an exhaustive analysis and precise interpretation of the results obtained. In addition, different research methods were implemented. The instrument used to collect information was a survey. The results obtained revealed that 62% of the staff stated that nursing duties include health promotion, highlighting the importance of fostering an ethical and professional culture in the care provided.
