Abstract
The article highlights the importance of the training and development of managers in higher education institutions, focusing on the identification of weaknesses in their managerial competencies. The central problem is related to the possible influence of inadequate planning of training actions on these deficiencies. The general objective of the study is to analyze the training and training of university managers to identify weaknesses in their management skills and propose a methodology to improve the efficiency of training. This work is not only relevant to the academic field, but also contributes to the strengthening of management in higher education institutions, which in turn benefits the educational process at the university.
