Expression of emotions in the face of difficulty in accessing water: a case study in the Alto Lerma Basin.
Abstract
The objective is to analyze emotions as an effect of water access policies in homes. A case is studied in the upper sub-basin of the Lerma River, characterized by its water complexity, both in biophysical and administrative and institutional aspects. The methodology included documentary research, ethnographic observations, and interviews. The results indicate that anger and sadness are the main emotions due to the decrease in supply sources, the operation of a transfer system, dependence on pipes and the impossibility of carrying out domestic and personal hygiene. These emotions can influence decisions to carry out protests, marches, among other actions.
