An evaluation of equity in corporate governance analysis at the executive level of the textile industry in Ecuador.
Abstract
This article presents an investigation on the influence of gender on corporate governance in the textile industry of Ecuador, based on antecedents that highlight the importance of addressing gender inequality in the business environment. The main objectives of the research were to determine the influence of gender on the levels of corporate governance and to verify two hypotheses formulated in this regard. A mixed methodology was used, which included surveys directed at employees in the textile sector. The results highlighted the importance of gender in decision-making and governance structure in the Ecuadorian textile industry.
