Innovation in micro and small enterprises, Tacotalpa, Tabasco.
Abstract
This work aims to evaluate the adoption of innovation related to Industry 4.0 in micro and small businesses (MYPES) in Tacotalpa, Tabasco. The research, with a quantitative approach and descriptive cross-sectional design, was carried out through questionnaires applied to directors of 245 micro and small enterprises. The results show that 49.58% of companies are involved in innovation actions, while only 24% have incorporated digital technology tools from Industry 4.0. Surprisingly, 76% of directors consider that this technology is not relevant to the development of their commercial activities. The need for future research is suggested to compare the evolution in the adoption of these variables.
