Abstract
Kidnapping prevention in the Babahoyo canton, Los Ríos province, Ecuador, is a complex challenge that requires a comprehensive strategy. This includes a complete analysis of the situation, strengthening of police forces, citizen education and cooperation, inter-institutional collaboration, security in critical areas and coordination at the regional and national levels. Strengthening security at vulnerable points such as borders, and densely populated urban areas is essential. Interagency coordination and community participation are key elements in the fight against kidnapping, thus guaranteeing security and quality of life in Babahoyo and its surroundings.
