Abstract

The article critically analyzes Law No. 31012 on police protection and its impact on human rights. It is argued that this law puts fundamental rights at risk by granting broad powers to police forces, which could lead to abuses and violations of human rights. The importance of establishing effective control and supervision mechanisms to prevent abuses and ensure police accountability is suggested. In conclusion, it is argued that it is crucial to critically address Law No. 31012 and ensure that police protection does not pose a threat to human rights.
