Public policies and economic violence against women and family members: the case of article 122-b of the Peruvian Penal Code.
Abstract
The article examines public policies related to economic violence against women and members of the family group, focusing on the specific case of article 122-b of the Peruvian Penal Code. The importance of addressing economic violence as a form of gender violence that affects the fundamental rights and integrity of the victims is highlighted. The inclusion of article 122-b is highlighted as a reflection of the commitment of the Peruvian State in the fight against this problem. However, the mere existence of the legal provision is not enough, and the implementation of complementary public policies is required.
