Neglect as a determining factor of dishonor in the context of the vulnerability of the elderly.

Abstract

The methodological approach involved a non-experimental descriptive design, based on the review of literature and the application of surveys for a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The research was divided into two stages: a qualitative one, which explored the underlying social problems, and a quantitative one, which collected and analyzed data through surveys. In conclusion, the need to expand the causes of indignity related to abandonment is suggested, supported by legal arguments, especially in the context of older people.
