Abstract
The right of possessory defense refers to the protection and defense of the possession of an asset or property without going to court. The main objective of the research is to establish clear and effective guidelines so that the police can intervene in conflict situations related to the possession of property, guaranteeing respect for rights and avoiding unnecessary violence. To achieve this objective, a comprehensive analysis of current legislation, jurisprudence and existing procedures related to extrajudicial possession defense will be carried out. Protocols and practices used by police forces in other countries will also be examined.
