Abstract

This study focuses on understanding intimate violence against professional women, even when they are economically independent. Using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design, analytical-synthetic, hermeneutic, and inductive methods were applied to explore this issue in depth. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and surveys, complemented by documentary analysis and bibliographic review. A key finding is that intimate violence affects women from diverse socio-educational backgrounds, highlighting the urgent need to provide psychological support and establish effective support networks. Violence against women, in addition to causing physical and emotional damage, can have fatal consequences, so emphasis should be placed on implementing strategies to eradicate it.
