Promoting the development of reading-learning skills in online career students through educational technology
Abstract
In the current era, marked by the prominence of information and communication technologies, reading, essential for learning, becomes a critical component. This study, which used a mixed results analysis approach, investigated how students carry out their reading practices. A survey was used to describe and analyze this process and technological applications were proposed as tools to promote the reading habit and support learning, especially in virtual contexts, such as online education. The results showed the effectiveness of these applications in improving reading speed and comprehension as students use them. In summary, this study highlights the need to integrate technology in the reading-learning process and its fundamental role in improving online education.
