Conceptualization and reflective analysis of teaching by competencies at a higher level.
Abstract
In educational research, it is essential to constantly reflect on the competencies of university teachers in order to improve the teaching-learning process. In this study, the constructs of competence and transversal competences were analyzed, and the complexity they imply in the performance of university teaching staff; to this end, a systematic review of articles was carried out, complemented with a database of previous research. It is recognized that transversal competencies are complex in the context of teaching-learning and play an important role in the attention that teachers provide during the educational process; in addition, it has been shown that on many occasions, the interpretive and critical capacity is affected by non-conscious attitudinal patterns.
