The impact of ChatGPT on text production: analysis of its style and evaluation in the student context.
Abstract
The present study focuses on analyzing the textual rules of the responses generated by ChatGPT and the perception of university students towards this tool. The research, of a descriptive field type, used analytical-synthetic and empirical methods. 60 students from the UPO1 University were surveyed using non-probabilistic techniques, using activity records and open interviews as data collection instruments. The qualitative categorical analysis revealed that the ChatGPT responses meet syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic requirements, presenting an expository character. Despite the students' positive assessment, they tend to use the tool superficially, prioritizing immediacy in solving tasks without sufficient depth, with a low-level utility.
