Effects of the use of information and communication technologies in the modern world.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the implications of the use of ICT in the population of Ibarra, Ecuador, through a mixed and descriptive methodology. The results revealed that a significant portion of respondents spend a large part of their daily time using electronic devices, mainly for work and educational activities. Additionally, greater knowledge and proficiency in using social media compared to office software packages was highlighted. In summary, ICT has transformed the way people communicate, work, and learn, offering substantial benefits but also posing challenges when used inappropriately.
