The ethical foundation in business management and its social contribution to the construction of a better society.
Abstract
Globalization has seen an increase in acts of corruption in both public and private companies, pointing to a deficit in corporate social responsibility (CSR). The objective lies in analyzing the importance of social responsibility under an ethical lens to nurture a better society. This article, with a qualitative approach and review, is supported by bibliographic research and uses the analytical-synthetic method. Explores the historical evolution of business ethics until it became a comprehensive social responsibility, applicable to public and private organizations, profitable or not. The conclusion is clear: Social Responsibility, to be faithfully reflected, must be rooted in ethical principles from its conception and development.
