Optimization of hotel management in Babahoyo through technological innovations: a methodological proposal.
Abstract
This study proposes a management methodology to promote technological innovation in hotels in Babahoyo. A non-experimental exploratory-descriptive approach was used and analytical-synthetic and systemic-structural methods were applied. The methodology was based on a bibliographic review of hotel antecedents and a diagnostic study that included observation and interviews with hotel managers in Babahoyo. The proposal consists of three stages: a technological and innovative diagnosis, the definition of the bases and key dimensions of technological innovation in the hotel industry, and the presentation of innovation strategies. This design provides a guide to orient the management of innovation and technology in Babahoyo's hotels, thus improving their practices and services.
