Ecuador's legal influence in the United Nations (UN) Security Council.
Abstract
The analysis of Ecuador's legal contribution as a Non-Permanent Member of the United Nations Security Council is addressed, focusing on its contribution in the three previous periods. The UN Security Council is the organization's main body with coercive powers and comprises five permanent members and ten non-permanent members. Ecuador, based on its constitutional mandate, embraces international law, promotes the peaceful resolution of conflicts, and opposes the use of force, seeking peace and global disarmament. The study uses a qualitative-descriptive methodology, supported by content analysis and hermeneutics.
