Examining the transition to electric mobility: impact of charging infrastructure on the adoption of plug-in electric vehicles.
Abstract
This research focuses on electric mobility, a field of increasing importance due to current environmental and sustainability challenges. The adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) is specifically discussed as promising solutions for the transition to cleaner energy sources. The review of multiple research projects highlights the importance of factors such as charging infrastructure, pro-PEV policies and economic incentives to promote the adoption of these vehicles. Furthermore, the need for interdisciplinary research that addresses electric mobility from a holistic perspective is emphasized, incorporating technical, political, and socioeconomic aspects to achieve an effective transition towards more sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility.
