Abstract

The article addresses the importance of laws and protection measures for the LGTBI community in Ecuador, seeking to guarantee their rights and eliminating discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, highlighting challenges they face in different areas, as well as the violence that they face. they face. The study uses an inductive-deductive research method and convenience sampling in collaboration with LGTBI organizations to collect data through interviews. The objectives include evaluating the satisfaction of the LGTBI community with current legislation, identifying progress and challenges, and proposing recommendations to improve the protection of their rights, in order to promote a more inclusive and egalitarian society, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. gender.
