Financial Education and savings among young people in Mexico who receive scholarship support: opportunity and effects.
Abstract
Financial culture and the savings habit are crucial elements for the economic well-being of any society. In the case of young Mexicans, adopting a solid financial mindset from an early age not only impacts their present, but also lays the foundations for a more stable future. In the context of Mexican youth receiving scholarships, building a solid financial culture is presented as a crucial challenge. As Pérez (2021) points out, the perception of financial stability provided by these supports can generate economic dependence, affecting young people's motivation to develop independent financial skills. This article analyzes the behavior of young people towards savings, based on an analysis of literature and empirical data.
