Property regularization process in the municipality of Quevedo, Ecuador.
Abstract
The Decentralized Autonomous Government of Canton Quevedo has enacted an Ordinance in order to legalize untitled properties in the urban area and rural parish headwaters, provided they meet requirements such as peaceful possession of at least 10 years. The Ordinance also allows the acquisition of municipal properties called "mostrencos" through the presentation of specific documents, in support of citizens. The Universidad Regional Autónoma de los Andes, Quevedo extension, collaborates by providing legal support for the execution of this project of linkage with society, exemplifying the collaboration between the university and the local government for the benefit of the community.
