Abstract

Discrimination against Venezuelan immigrants in Babahoyo is a worrying problem that affects many Ecuadorian cities. With the crisis in Venezuela, a large number of people have left their country in search of a better life; however, these immigrants often face discrimination, negative stereotypes and prejudices at their destination, resulting in social exclusion, limited access to employment and education, and even violence. The research used a mixed approach with a cross-sectional non-experimental design of descriptive explanatory scope to study this phenomenon. The results highlight a high level of exclusion towards Venezuelan immigrants in Babahoyo. This problem needs to be addressed to promote a more inclusive and fair society.
