Abstract

The research analyzed the indigenous mobilizations of 2022 in Ecuador and their impact on human rights. The underlying causes of these protests at the national level were explored, including the influence of the history of mobilizations in the country, such as the prominent peasant movement of 1944, which marked the beginning of the struggle for violated rights. The fundamental role of indigenous movements in defending human rights and social justice was fully recognized. The study analyzed how these mobilizations have contributed to protecting human rights and have influenced public policies and reforms in Ecuador.
